 The SML Gives Annual Holiday Benefit began as a small lakeside gathering to collect food and raise funds for local families in need. What started as a simple act of kindness has grown into a beloved community tradition—uniting neighbors, businesses, and partners each year to support hunger relief and bring hope to those who need it most. 

 The SML Gives Annual Holiday Benefit is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of generosity and community. Each year, local neighbors, businesses, and partners come together to raise critical funds that directly support hunger-relief programs and mobile food distribution for families across Franklin, Bedford, and Pittsylvania Counties 

 Since its beginning, the benefit has raised thousands of dollars to expand hunger-relief programs and launch our Mobile Food Distribution initiative. Each year, more families receive the food, support, and connection they need, proving that when our community comes together, real change happens.
